Susan Ogle

Susan Ogle (Born 1953) is active/lives in Alaska.  Susan Ogle is known for Landscape, birds, illustration, graphic.

An award-winning graphic designer, painter, and illustrator, Susan Ogle is a regionalist artist in Alaska. She studied architecture at the University of Cincinnati and painting at Heron School of Art. In 1987, after fifteen years in Anchorage, Ogle moved to the town of Cordova, Alaska, to devote herself full-time to painting.

Birding has been one of her lifelong passions, and the birds of the Copper River Delta and Prince William Sound offered her many subjects of study. One example of her work is On the Lookout (oil on canvas). Ogle has participated in the efforts of the Artists for Nature Foundation, an organization based in the Netherlands and consisting of artists dedicated to promoting, through their work, the conservation of natural and historical landscapes.

She is also the illustrator of numerous childrens books, mainly relating to life in Copper River Region of Alaska. Examples of her work are included in the book Alaskas Copper River Delta by Riki Ott.
